The Fond du Lac Bears turned in a dominant road performance Saturday night, rolling to a 13–4 win over Sun Prairie behind relentless offensive pressure and a heavy edge in shots. The Bears finished with an 89–38 advantage on goal, including 30 shots in both the first and third periods, controlling the pace from start to finish.
Fond du Lac set the tone early with four first-period goals. Jonas Buchholz opened the scoring with 15:14 remaining, followed closely by Josh Austin at 14:23. Dillon Fox added two goals in an 18-second span with 6:35 and 6:17 left in the period, giving the Bears a 4–0 lead after one while outshooting Sun Prairie 30–14.
The Bears broke the game open in the second period, scoring six times. Dayne Deanovich struck twice early with goals at 17:39 and 17:17 remaining, followed by goals from Fox, Nick Sirota, and Jonas Buchholz as Fond du Lac built a commanding lead. Sun Prairie briefly answered with three goals late in the period, but the Bears continued to generate chances throughout the frame, firing 29 shots and carrying a 10–3 advantage into the third.
Fond du Lac closed out the night with three more goals in the final period. Jarrett Buchholz scored with 15:13 remaining, Fox added his fourth of the game at 5:27, and Eric Macejewski capped the scoring with 2:50 left. Sun Prairie’s lone third-period goal came early, but the Bears limited the Killer Bees to just seven shots in the final 20 minutes.
Alex Kruger earned the win in goal, stopping 34 of 38 shots. Offensively, Fox led the way with four goals and six points, while Jonas Buchholz recorded a hat trick and Dayne Deanovich added five points on two goals and three assists. The Bears’ depth and sustained pressure were evident throughout as they completed one of their most complete performances of the season.
