Weekend Recap: Sabel's Six Assists Propel Bears to GLHL Victory

Ryan Sabel recorded six assists and Nick Monfils had two goals and three assists to help lead the Bears to a 10-3 victory over Fox Cities on Saturday.

7:55 into the first period, Nick Monfils scored on assists by Ryan Sabel and Anthony Grebe in what would be a preview of what was to come the rest of the night. Monfiles would go on to score two goals and add three assists, Sabel would have a six-assist night, and Grebe would pick up a hat-trick plus a helper as the Bears cruised to a 10-3 win, picking up their fourth in this season against Fox Cities. The game was tied 2-2 after the first before the Bears pulled away in the second period with five straight goals to blow things open. Alex Kruger stopped 32 shots in net for the victory.
