The 17-1 Fond du Lac Bears head to Mosinee tonight to take on the Mosiee Papermakers.

The 17-1 Fond du Lac Bears head to Mosinee tonight to take on the Mosiee Papermakers.

The Bears enter the game with a 14-1-0-0 record in the GLHL, good for 28 points and tied for first place with the Portage Lake Pioneers, but the Bears have three games in hand on the Pioneers as the regular season winds down.

The Papermakers enter the matchup sitting in third place at 12-3-1-0.

The Bears and Papermakers are the only two teams who have eclipsed the 100 goal mark so far this season, with the Bears scoring 118 goals in 15 games, and the Papermakers 107 in 16 games. The two teams are the two top teams in goal differential, with the Bears at a +62, and the Papermakers at +40.

The two clubs have met twice so far this season and will meet two more times during March to close out the regular-season series. The games played thus far have been close, and tonight figures to be much of the same. The Bears came away victorious 8-7 back on November 5th in Fond du Lac, then grabbed a 6-5 come-from-behind victory in Mosinee on January 14.
