Weekend Recap: Bears Continue to Roll with 7-2 Victory Over Eagle River

The Bears made their way north for a matchup with the Eagle River Falcons Saturday and came away with the victory.

The Bears took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission and extended that lead to 5-0 before the Falcons finally snuck one past Justin Davidson as the Bears continue to roll this season. Matt Letmanski recorded the hat-trick and added an apple for a four-point night, with Robbie Coleman (2-0-2), Malachi Buchholz (2-0-2), Brady Beekman (0-2-2), and Ryan Smet (0-2-2) all collecting two-point nights. Davidson was stellar in net, stopping 37 of 39 shots for a .949 save percentage.

The month-long road trip continues next weekend as the Bears will be in Calumet, MI on Friday, January 27, to battle the Wolverines, then hop over to Houghton, MI Saturday night to take on the Portage Lake Pioneers.
