Bears Split Over the Weekend

The Bears grabbed two out of a possible four points over the weekend.


The Fond du Lac Bears grabbed two out of a possible four points over the weekend, winning Friday night in Appleton against Fox Cities before falling at home to the league-leading West Bend Bombers.

Friday (W 5-3) at Fox Cities

Fondy scored four third-period goals to come behind and capture the road victory. Jordan Foster and Robbie Coleman led the way offensively, each registering two points. Tyler Gross scored the game-winning goal with 8:57 remaining. Randy Willis made 32 saves on 35 shots to get the win.

FRIDAY BOX SCORE

Saturday (L 5-1) vs. West Bend

Two goals in a 50 second span late in the second period broke a 1-1 tie in favor of West Bend. The Bombers delivered the final two daggers with under two minutes remaining in the third to escape with 5-1 win over the Bears. Terry Kalata scored the Beras lone goal, tying the game at 1-1 midway through the first period. Recently singed goaltender Matty Taylor made 26 saves on 29 shots in his Bears debut before leaving the game with an injury. Parker Deanovich made six saves in relief.
